Description

It is amazing what I can do in only a few hours. It's been a while since I last drew something dark and moody. Say, when WAS the last I drew such a thing?!

Anyway, I thought this drawing suits Yumi's life and personality. She has been living a life of abuse from the parents that hate her so much. She still has hope that she would someday leave behind this dark life of hers so that she may live a brighter life. I think this does a nice job of portraying that.

I decided to leave it in pencil since I haven't tried dark-style digital art yet. Since I left it in pencil, I thought I could do something to make it much darker. So I used a lot of shading. It turned out all right!

Isn't Yumi cute?
