I am quite the fan of Alien Nine, so about a year ago I started drawing this. It took me a while to get all the colors and shading and other stuff done but I liked the way it turned out in the end.

Since the third volume of the manga is my most favorite part of A9, I decided that I wanted to the fanart based on that part. Yuri and the sunflower alien was the easiest part. Though I never saw the sunflower alien in color, I figured that its colors would be based on actual sunflowers. The petal-shaped legs would be yellow while the center part would be brown. Kumi and her drills was the hardest part to draw. Well, just the drills. At least coloring them was no trouble. Then there's Kasumi. She and her hair spirals were suprisingly easy to draw but difficult to color, at least in comparison to the rest of the picture.

Boy, I'd like to see volume three animated. The ending of the anime version wasn't too bad but still...

One of the best Alien Nine fanarts I have eva seen! Glad to see lots of people have become more aware of the series, Its Teh Best!!

Alien Nine is an interesting manga. The only thing that bugs me is that the manga isn't numbered and I can't tell what order they go in.

Wow amazing job on this. You captured each character really well from the later parts of the manga. Its a shame that these parts of the story never got animated but its nice to see a full colour rendition of them in their later forms here. I really like what you've done with each of them and the colour and linework is great. :)

Clean and awesome coloring :nod: Dunno the series, but the characters look cute. Tho the blonde has craaazy hair :o I don't think this pic needs a background, it looks good with a white background ^^

...No way. A fan...holy shit. You have no idea how happy I am.
And not only that, this picture is fantastic. They all look like they should...and so much detail <3

And yeah...I really wish they'd've continued the show. Argh.
